The Challenge
Sendero Consulting, a 2024 USA Today Top Workplace, specializes in data and analytics, IT infrastructure and system implementation for clients across a variety of industries. Despite implementing extensive software services for their clients, Sendero had not yet done the same in their marketing department.
This was a challenge for several reasons. The marketing-to-sales handoff was inefficient. Prospect and client communication was manual and time-consuming. Reports were compiled manually using spreadsheets. And with a broad and disjointed tech stack, the marketing team didn’t own all of the platforms they used, which would cause delays when making changes or updates.
Since sales operations were successfully being managed in Salesforce, the ability to play nicely with that platform was priority number one when it came time to selecting a marketing automation tool.
The Solution
HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional was the all-in-one solution that Sendero needed to easily manage their day-to-day marketing operations while still syncing seamlessly with Salesforce.
Once purchased, they needed an onboarding partner to quickly implement their new tool and teach their team how to use it independently. Enter Kiwi Creative.
Over the course of 90 days, we conducted a series of 10 virtual working sessions with the Sendero marketing team. During this time, we helped them customize their HubSpot portal to fit their unique needs and also coached them on best practices regarding marketing automation, sales enablement process automation and technical portal configuration.
This included migrating data from MailChimp and Gravity Forms. Now, Sendero has visibility into the entire customer journey, from marketing through the pass off to sales, all within one tool. Consolidating platforms also gave the team full control over emails, landing pages, forms, social tools and automation, cutting out the need for an external resource and saving valuable time.
The Outcome
Sendero now enjoys clear visibility into both their marketing and sales operations, and, most importantly, the hand-off between the two teams. Marketing also controls all marketing operations, saving time without sacrificing functionality. Additional successes include:
- Successful migration of 5,000 contacts records from MailChimp

- Improved email performance (including an impressive 40% click-through rate)
