As the Astah site grew over time, it wasn’t telling the right story or helping users easily find the information they need. Many pages didn’t appear in the navigation at all, and the messaging didn’t clearly communicate the difference between products. The site had hundreds of pages, many of which used inconsistent designs and did not interlink.
Kiwi combed through the entire set of pages on Astah’s site and created a detailed and heavily re-organized sitemap. We created pages targeted to specific types of users and re-wrote content to explain the features and benefits of each product to each type of user. We included targeted explanations of pricing and license types with this content as well, creating a clear picture of the suite of offerings.
After reorganizing and rewriting content, we designed a sleek and fresh UI that marries current design trends with Astah’s brand. Using bright illustrations on a white background with the bright blues and greens of Astah’s logo created a fun and approachable site that encourages lingering.
On the back-end, we took advantage of the power and flexibility of WordPress’s Gutenberg blocks, creating a tool that will grow with Astah. The site allows them to easily add and reorganize content but maintains the design consistency.
Users love the new site, and the Google Analytics stats prove it. In just two weeks after launch, the number of total users increased by 198%, with new users increasing by 212%. Most of these increases were direct traffic, with a 592% increase, but organic traffic also saw a substantial 31% increase.
Page views increased by 70%, but most importantly, the site saw large growth in the number of views to their pricing page, where the most important “buy now” actions are located. In fact, views of this page went up 215%.
